The European Schools are an intergovernmental organisation offering multilingual, multicultural, and multinational education.
EEB4 is part of the European Schools system and provides education to children whose parents work for the European Institutions. Our school community is composed of over 3,000 pupils from 50 different nationalities and more than 400 staff members from various countries. Pupils study in eight language sections: French, English, German, Italian, Dutch, Estonian, Bulgarian, and Romanian.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold the necessary qualifications to teach philosophy
- Possess qualifications (validated by the national authority) to teach at the secondary levelHave an advanced proficiency in French (C2 level).
- Being a native speaker is an advantage
- Have recent teaching experience with secondary school students
- Be able to work in a dynamic, multilingual, and multicultural team
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching and consider all aspects of a child's development beyond purely academic achievements
- Show interest in and apply differentiated pedagogical approaches
- Display a high level of professionalism and care for the well-being of students
- Be a European citizen or hold a valid work permit for Belgium
Preference will be given to a teacher who:
- Has teaching experience in a European or international school
- Integrates new technologies as teaching tools
- Has knowledge of another vehicular language (EN-DE). This is an advantage
- Is flexible with schedules
Our Offer
We offer contracts in accordance with the Status of Course Leaders at the European Schools (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-fr-9), available on the European Schools website www.eursc.eu or by clicking here.
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Working Hours: Your working time will be distributed from Monday to Friday. Additionally, there will be time allocated for service, team meetings (student monitoring, implementation of joint projects), and meetings with parents.
- Type of Contract: Replacement contract for 21 periods until 13 December 2024 in accordance with the Status of Course Leaders
- Remuneration: Gross salary of approximately €66.80 per period worked
- Place of Work: Brussels, Belgium
