Educational Assistant for Pedagogical Support (M/F) for the French Section of the Primary School (15 hours/week – part-time)
Job Description
We are looking for an educational assistant to support a child in the primary school of the European School.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in planning and supporting the pupil with special educational needs during classroom activities.
- Provide individual support to the pupil in the classroom.
- Work closely with the support coordinator and the pupil’s teachers, maintaining a cooperative and respectful relationship.
- Ensure strict confidentiality.
- Participate in meetings and class outings when requested by the management.
- Take part in pedagogical days and training sessions.
- Temporarily supervise the class in case the teacher is unavailable.
- Handle administrative tasks as required by the school.
Profile:
The employee must meet the following criteria:
- The candidate is a national of a European Union Member State.
- The candidate holds a diploma or qualification relevant to the role of an educational assistant for support measures in the national system and has experience with children with special needs.
- The candidate is proficient in French at a C2 level.
- Knowledge of other European School languages is an asset.
Offer:
- A fixed-term contract (until 31.08.2025) in accordance with the Staff Regulations of the Administrative and Service Staff of the European Schools (Basic Texts in German) under the Administrative and Service Staff Regulations of the European Schools (V.D.P) – 2007-D-153-fr-14: https://www.eursc.eu/BasicTexts/2007-D-153-de-14.pdf.
- 15 hours per week.
